Vintage Great Lakes Ship Porthole Hatch Chicago Original Maritime Port Hole 18"

Not sure on the exact ship, but this came from a Great Lakes freighter, salvaged from Duluth, MN.

Porthole shows wear and aging, but gives it a great weathered look. There are 2 large wingnuts that latch the hatch in place. Not sure if there was originally a third on the "handle" to open it? If there was supposed to be, that one is missing. Hatch opens and closes nicely. This is a heavy piece and weighs around 40 lbs. The measurement pic I took wasn't real accurate - it actually measures just under 18 inches in diameter.
