I don’t know much about how these work, but it does turn on when plugged in. It makes you go through a series of data entry when first plugging in (entering date, time, sales tax info, etc). The paper printed out but it was blank- probably out of ink. The top part of the cover that covers the paper roll just sits in place- looks like one of the plastic clips is broken. Register has some dust/grime in the nooks and crannies. Looks like a used machine. Comes with the key. Ships quick!
